E-Tickets

The E-Ticket replaces the order-level QR code and page for mobile ticket delivery and adds an alternative option for print-at-home ticket customers who can’t easily open PDFs on a phone.

Provide flexible ticket options for your events and empower your customers to manage those tickets from a branded hub with E-Tickets.

E-Tickets offer the option to use a single barcode for the entire order or one barcode per ticket, streamlining the admissions process and increasing convenience for your attendees.

How It Works

The E-Tickets page can be visited when the customer clicks the View / Print Tickets link in their order confirmation email, or from the link delivered in mobile tickets.

Mobile delivery customers receive an SMS message.

Benefits

  • No More Mandatory Order-Level QR Codes: Say goodbye to the hassle of scanning multiple QR codes! On-site staffers can simply scan one QR code per attendee. No more checking in individual tickets one by one.
  • Improved Mobile Experience: Attendees enjoy a seamless ticketing process with these enhanced mobile layouts. Ticket details are now prominently displayed, and QR codes are clean and easy to scan.
  • Send Tickets to Friends: Attending an event with friends? It's now easier than ever! Attendees can quickly send a ticket link to a friend with a simple one-click option. When they open the link, they'll see only their ticket, making group arrivals hassle-free.
    • Please note: The tickets still belong to the purchaser. This is not a formal ticket transfer.

Important Considerations

  • The order-level QR code still exists
    • We recommend you enable the Hide Sale Barcode advanced setting. Otherwise, the order-level QR code can still be seen in a customer’s order confirmation email. This is not technically problematic, but may be mildly confusing to a customer. Of course, the order-level QR code will still scan as usual!
  • Reserved seating is supported
    • Seat and row information is included on each ticket where appropriate.
  • No advertising space
    • If you sell ad space on your tickets, you may not want to utilise E-Tickets as the PDF tickets are not at the forefront of this experience.
  • Product vouchers still use order-level QR codes
    • This is currently the only situation in which order-level QR codes will appear on the E-Tickets page. You cannot force them via the Show Sale Barcodes advanced setting.
  • We do not recommend using E-Tickets sellers who rely on order-level QR codes as part of their on-site operations.
