Note

Price Level Carting Rules are an extra permission. If you do not see the option on your account, reach out to support. We'd be happy to add it for you!

Price Level Carting Rules is an Event Creation tool that allows users to implement restrictions and rules for purchasing specific Price Levels.  Two types of rules are supported.

  • Price Level A REQUIRES Price Level B - customers can only reserve Price Level A if they have also carted Price Level B
  • Price Level A PROHIBITS Price Level B - customers cannot reserve Price Level A if they have also carted Price Level B

Setup

  1. In the Admin, navigate to the appropriate event's Inventory settings and click to Edit the Price Level that you want to apply rules to.
  2. Click Advanced Availability Rules, and choose Add Rule
  3. Select the corresponding price level that you want to associate this rule with.
  4. Configure to either PROHIBIT or REQUIRE this Price Level with the current one.  You can also choose to apply this rule to Online transactions, Box Office, or both
  5. Click Save Price Level.

At this point, your rule is saved and active.  You should also note that the corresponding Price Level for that rule also shows the Advanced Availability rule.

Conflicts

Conflicting rules MAY BE POSSIBLE.  Users are responsible for the logic they implement; it may be possible to set up carting rules that make it impossible to cart a price level.
