Redeam

To start your Redeam integration, you'll need to coordinate with the Redeam team and your Leap Sales Representative to include the integration in your Leap contract. Once these steps are completed, contact support to activate the third-party integration. Please ensure you have an existing agreement with the OTA you plan to connect.

What is Redeam?

Redeam is an online service and technology platform that specializes in digitizing the experience of physical tickets and vouchers for tours, attractions, and activities. The company provides solutions to help tour operators, attractions, and activity providers digitally manage and distribute their products. Our integration with Redeam enables sellers to connect with various distribution sales channels and online travel agencies (OTAs). Integrating with Redeam provides additional sales outlets for your inventory and visibility to an audience that may extend beyond their direct marketing tracks.

Terminology

Redeam uses terminology that differs from Event Ticketing. Therefore, it is helpful to understand their terminology and how it maps to Leap.

Leap Admin Configuration

Add Events to the Redeam Integration

  1. In the admin, go to the Manage tab and select the Redeam Integration module.
  2. Add Events:
    1. If you have marked price levels as "Active in Redeam," the event will automatically appear in the Enabled Event list.
    2. To add additional events, click AddEvents. However, remember that adding events here will not activate price levels—you need to do that in the Price Level Configuration step.
  3. Assign Reseller Channels:
    1. To select the OTA channels that will sell your tickets, click Edit under the Allowed Channels box. Before selecting a channel, make sure you have an agreement with the OTA.
    2. Redeam handles channel bindings for OTAs, so if a particular OTA is missing, you can contact Redeam to enable it.

Exclusions

You can exclude specific dates or price levels from the Redeam feed if you don’t want them available through OTAs.

To do this:

  1. In the Manage Redeam tab, click the Actions button for the event you want to adjust.
  2. Select Add/remove exclusions and set the date range or price levels to exclude.

Configure Price Levels for Redeam

  1. Access Event Inventory:
    1. Navigate to the Event Edit page in Event Ticketing.
    2. Under the Inventory Step, locate the price levels for your event.
  2. Enable Redeam for Price Levels:
    1. For each price level you want to sell via Redeam, check the ActiveinRedeam box.
    2. This setting applies to both individual events and series parent events.
    3. Price levels must be marked as “Active in Redeam” to be accessible through OTAs.
  3. Advanced Options:
    1. If the OTA requires, use the Advanced Redeam Options to assign a Redeam Option (e.g., General Admission, VIP) or Unit Type (e.g., Adult, Child). This helps categorize your tickets for OTAs.
    2. Note: This section must be filled out to work with Bucketlisters through Redeam.

Reporting

If you want to understand which third-party channels drive the most ticket sales, adding OTA source data to your Leap reports makes it easy. You can view OTA performance alongside your direct sales data. This helps you quickly see which partners are most effective, all within the same reporting tools you already use—custom filters, scheduled reports, exports, and more.

When utilizing Leap's Report Builder, add the Redeam OTA and/or Capture Method columns using the Transaction Details options.

Important Notes

  • Redeam does not support Min/Max ticket limits for price levels.
  • Delivery methods supported by Redeam are Will Call and Print at Home. Mobile-only delivery is currently unsupported.

Troubleshooting Notes

Groupon/Redeam

  • The integration will not function if the settings for hiding the event from the event calendar and Leap results are checked under event details.
  • However, if the settings for hiding the event from the event calendar and Leap results are unchecked, and the Hide event in box office option is checked along with the Prevent search engines from indexing option, the integration will work successfully.

Bucketlisters/Redeam

You must have the Advanced Redeam Options filled out under their active in Redeam price levels.

Key Limitations

Redeam Limitations:

  • No support for reserved seating, bundles, coupons, or advanced price rules.
  • Price level min/max rules are not supported.
  • TRAVELER unit type is not supported by some OTAs like GetYourGuide.
