We've become aware of phishing attempts impersonating Leap Ticketing, requesting users to"log in" to process a refund from an "attendee." These emails are not from us, and we strongly caution users against opening any such email. These are bad actors attempting to access your account information, such as your email address and password.

How can I know which emails are legitimate?
Generally, you will receive direct communication from our client support team from an @leapevent.tech email address.
In addition, these phishing attempts sent to our clients by bad actors include a malicious link labeled 'View details of this transaction". That link leads to a fraudulent website with a fake login screen, which attempts to steal your username and password. Do not click on these fraudulent links as we do not provide them.
If you are ever in doubt about the veracity of a link in an email from our company or any other company, hover over the link to preview it and confirm whether it leads to the company's URL.
If you have not done so yet, we strongly encourage you to enable two-factor authentication (2FA) across all accounts in their seller profile to provide additional account security. You can read more on how to set up 2FA here: Two Factor Authentication
You can learn more about these potentially dangerous attempts to get your data and how to spot phishing emails from the U.S. Cyber Defense Agency at https://www.cisa.gov/secure-our-world/recognize-and-report-phishing.
